Sarfaraz Rafsa Utama, just one year old, is in a race against time. His small body is battling a serious condition called biliary atresia, where his bile ducts are blocked, causing his liver to swell with toxic fluids. His belly has grown so large that he can no longer sit comfortably, and his condition continues to deteriorate. Every day, Sarfaraz endures severe symptoms—recurrent diarrhea, fever, vomiting blood, and even bleeding from his nose and in his stool. His life hangs in the balance, with a liver transplant being his only hope.Sarfaraz’s journey has been a heartbreaking one. His parents, who initially thought his symptoms were mild, were devastated to learn of his serious condition. They immediately sought treatment, draining their savings to move from Kalimantan to Jakarta for specialized care. While Sarfaraz has undergone a biopsy and is now awaiting a liver transplant, his family is struggling to cover the mounting medical expenses.Sarfaraz’s mother, Kardina Rafsayani, remains hopeful despite the challenges. She knows her son is a fighter, often flashing a smile whenever he has a moment of relief from his pain.
